While NAND control chip manufacturer Sillicon Motion, a new enterprise headquarters in the Hsinchu Zhubei High-Tech Special Zone, is about to be officially launched, it also reported that it will join Zhu Shangzu, the former joint venture chief of the joint development department, which will bring Huirong's operation into a new stage.
Huirong Technology invested NT$4 billion in 2021 to build this headquarters. It is located in Section 2 of Rexing 3rd Road, next to Zhubei High-speed Railway Station. It includes 21st floor above ground and 4th floor underground. It has a total designed capacity of 1,500 employees. Currently, there are employees who have been continuously entering the headquarters. In addition, Huirong Technology employees, currently located in the Taiyuan Park area, are expected to officially join the new Gaotou Zhubei Enterprise Headquarters on June 23.
While welcoming the new enterprise headquarters, news of the joining of Zhu Shangzu, the former joint operation manager of the joint venture department. Zhu Shangzu, who graduated from the Department of Electronic Engineering at the University of Communications, worked as a student at Huafang Electric in his early years. He officially joined the joint development department in 1999. From his original DVD business department to his leadership in 2010, he led the establishment of a smart mobile phone chip department. In less than two years, in the face of competition, under the dual-part collision between products and patents, the competition has successfully helped the University of Technology to enter the Chinese smart phone market, and laid the market picture and position for the company in the 4G era. In addition, it has gradually become the world's second largest smart phone chip supplier at that time, with an annual revenue of more than US$4 billion.

Because of Zhu Shangzu's battle, he was once regarded as one of the successors of Cai Mingjie, chairman of the joint development department, and in 2015 he served as a joint manager, responsible for the sale of wireless communication products and foreign customers. However, as the Helio series chips failed to meet expectations and the fierce competition in the Chinese market, the market share of Technologies mobile chips declined. In addition, in the first half of 2017, the Joint Development Department appointed Cai Lixing as executive chief. At this time, Zhu Shangzu was gradually transformed and finally transferred to a consultant position, resulting in the official request for resignation in July of the same year.
After, Zhu Shangzu's career changed to China. In November 2017, he was invited to join Xiaomi in China as a "Partner of the Industry Investment Department" to assist the Xiaomi Group in its industry investment and strategic layout, especially in the chip and hardware fields. In May 2020, OPPO officially launched its self-developed chip planning and established its IC design company "ZEKU" to greatly attract high-level chip talents in Taiwan. It was at this time that Zhu Shangzu became the first supervisor and was later promoted to the co-operation leader of ZEKU, responsible for assisting the integration of OPPO's chip strategy and supply chain.
In 2023, under the pressure of large-scale economic uncertainty, coupled with the high R&D costs and personnel costs, OPPO finally decided to end its own chip R&D project and immediately closed Zheku Technology, which caused Zhu Shangzu himself and the teams that have poached the past from the Development Department, such as former president of the wireless communication department, Li Zonglin, who left.
As for the reason why Huirong Technology has extended Zhu Shangzu this time, in addition to his many years of leadership and human resources in the IC design field, and his years of experience in operating in China, more importantly, Zhu Shangzu and Duan Xiting, the final and senior vice president of the vehicle storage industry, led him to General Manager Gou Jiazhang, and promoted it.
In fact, Zhu Shangzu, Duan Xiting, Trendon Technology Executive Director Lin Weidong, and another high-level member of Synopsys were all comrades who served in Jinmen, and at the same time worked in the Information Center of the Defense Command, responsible for the construction and maintenance of related systems, and had established a deep relationship between them for many years. Therefore, Zhu Shangzu was admitted to Huirong Technology this time, which is the reunion of his comrades for many years.
Although it was reported that Zhu Shangzu was about to officially take office in July, it is not clear what Zhu Shangzu's position and work tasks were held.
