Many people have heard of catnip, but most people don't know what it is. So do you know why cats like catnip? What does a cat react like after eating catnip? Next, let’s take a look at the answers to these questions.

1. No response

Because not all cats are sensitive to the taste of catnip, just as many cats like linear toys, but some cats are not interested at all. So if the cat is not interested in the smell of catnip, there will be no reaction.

2. Become very excited

Catnip contains a chemical called lipo, which will stimulate cats and make cats excited. So if you are a cat who is very sensitive to the taste of catnip, you will feel excited and intoxicated after eating catnip, such as sneezing, rubbing the ground, meowing, suddenly being excited, and running around. Therefore, the owner can occasionally give the cat a small amount of catnip to adjust its mood.

Note: The owner should not feed the cat too much catnip every time, otherwise it may cause the cat to breathe. In addition, don’t feed catnip too often, once or twice a week. Too frequent may make the cat lose interest in catnip and no longer respond to catnip.
