Zurich officially announced that it has terminated its contract with head coach Van der Gach.
Zurich official wrote: "The management of Zurich Football Club believes that the development of the team's first team has stalled, so it has decided to make personnel adjustments. Under temporary circumstances, assistant coach Hediger will take over the coaching of the first team."
"We regret this decision, thank Van der Gaach for his efforts for Zurich Football Club, and wish him all the best and success in the future."
Zurich currently has 4 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses in the Swiss Super League, ranking 8th with 13 points. Van der Gaghe, who has been Ten Hag's long-time assistant coach at Ajax and Manchester United, signed a two-year contract with the Zurich club in the summer, which is valid until 2027.
