According to the official website of Manchester United, Stephen Topei has officially taken office as Manchester United's new youth training director.

Previously, he joined Manchester United from Brentford to replace Nick Cox's position. Cox has now moved to Everton as technical director.

Topey recently led the reconstruction of the Brentford youth team structure, including the restart of the comprehensive youth training program from U9 to U18. Before joining West London Club in January 2024, he was in charge of academy coaching at Manchester City of all ages and coached at Liverpool's basic stages. The UEFA A-level coach said he was very proud to be able to lead Manchester United, a world-renowned academy.

He said: "Obviously, this is a good time because the club is entering an exciting new era and I can't wait to continue the excellent youth training tradition here."

Topei has started working at the Carrington base on Monday and will watch Manchester United's U21 against Athletic Bilbao in the Premier League International Cup on Wednesday night. All members of the club warmly welcomed Stephen's arrival and wished him all the best in his new position.
