The Telegraph reported that Chelsea recently explored the possibility of relocating the team to Earls Palace or revamping the existing home court.

owner Burley earlier said in an interview: "We have to think about our goals in the long run. We have a large stadium development opportunity to be clear, which will determine whether we ultimately stay consistent or choose a different direction. We have 16 to 20 years to solve this problem."

Chelsea declined to comment on the status of its stadium plans or any meeting with the mayor's team. A mayor's spokesman said the mayor has worked closely with all Premier League clubs in London on various matters, but has not received specific proposals from the club on Earls Palace.

It is worth noting that the Earls Palace Development Corporation (ECDC) rejected the possibility of Chelsea's relocation to Earls Palace nine months ago. Still, this does not rule out the possibility of Chelsea bidding for Earls Palace before development begins next year. To leave Stamford Bridge, they also need to reach an agreement with the Chelsea Stadium owner (CPO) who owns the freehold of the land.
