According to TalkSports reports, Bamford is training with Coventry coached by Frank Lampard.
Bamford left Leeds United in August because coach Falk made it clear that he was not a player in the team's plan. Since then, Bamford did not participate in the team's pre-season training in Germany and was forced to train separately from the first team.
During his seven years at Leeds United, Bamford scored 60 goals in 205 games, but he was troubled by injuries and declined last season, while Leeds United won the British Championship. Finally, the two parties reached a termination agreement in August.
The 32-year-old Bamford has yet to find a new home. He has been rumored to have been linked to Wrexham and Celtic, but no transfer has been finalized. Recently, he was seen at Coventry's training ground, but reports pointed out that this was just a favor from head coach Lampard and was not intended to sign Bamford.
Bamford and Lampard played for Chelsea together from 2012 to 2014. Lampard's Coventry is currently ranked first in the British Championship, scoring 31 goals in 11 games and remaining unbeaten. Lampard has spoken highly of Bamford's abilities in the past and if he is signed, Bamford's experience and skills could be key to Coventry's bid for promotion.
