There is a saying in the world that some dogs are messengers sent by angels to repay their kindness, while others are creditors of fate, coming with unfinished hatred.
When faced with those extremely naughty, or seemingly with deep hatred, the preferred method of many people is often to punish them severely.
However, I would like to solemnly remind every pet owner that no matter how angry he is in his heart, do not move the dog at home, because the consequences of beating the dog may be much more serious than imagined!
When dogs are being beaten, they choose to bear silently rather than resist, usually for the following reasons:
1. It is afraid that you
Although dogs are naughty, they respect their owners and even fear them. Once you raise your hand to punish them, these loyal creatures have nowhere to escape and can only bear the pain in silence.
2. It feels guilty and blames itself
Although dogs do not express themselves in words, they can feel their faults. Because of your inner guilt, they will not choose to resist under your punishment, but will let you punish them.
3. It knows that it is making a mistake
The dog often requires a gradual process to learn the correct behavior. They cannot be fully understood in one piece of teaching. When they make the same mistake again, they are filled with anxiety and fear, and even face punishment, they will not choose to escape.
4. It fears one after another, some dogs who have been in trouble have experienced repeated beatings and scolding again and again, and they have learned to foresee the consequences of storms. Therefore, they dare not escape and can only accept the impending punishment helplessly.
However, when dogs are beaten, they are not only unable to escape harm, but may also face these serious consequences:
1. Dogs may escape from dogs that are often scolded by their owners, and are actually extremely fragile inside. When they are completely disappointed in you, they may choose to escape from this home that should have been warm, and even if they wander on the streets, they will not be hurt anymore.
2. Relationships are increasingly alienated
Dogs are animals close to humans. If they suffer frequent blows, they will learn to stay away from you and their relationship with you will gradually deteriorate. When you want to get close to them, they may appear resistant and no longer be as docile as they used to be.
3. Dogs may be injured or worse. The body of dogs is far from what we imagined to be fragile. While they are hit, they may be unable to resist, be vulnerable, and may even lead to fatal consequences in severe cases.
Believe that most people are only willing to punish appropriately, rather than taking away the lives of these cute creatures.
It is particularly important to remind that the following parts of dogs are particularly unsuitable for attacks. Please be careful not to harm them:
1. The limbs of dogs are the basis for supporting their free movement. If the limbs are injured, it may lead to a fracture, and the recovery process of the fracture is often long and painful.
2. Belly
The abdomen of a dog protects important internal organs. Once excessively attacking their abdomen, it may cause internal organs to rupture, and for dogs, such damage can be fatal.
3. Head
Although the dog's head looks strong, it is actually not resistant to punching. Strong impacts can cause serious brain damage to the dog and may even die.
Since the harm caused by beating a dog is so great, how should we educate dogs when no means of attack?
1. Rebuke the dog in time when it makes a mistake, rebuke it immediately. Dogs’ memories may not last long. If they are not corrected immediately when the error occurs, they are likely to repeat the same mistakes
2. Forward guidance
In fact, forward guidance is more effective than beating and scolding. When you find that your dog is not behaving, you should correct it immediately and give rewards when they are performing well, such as a moderate amount of snacks. This will encourage dogs to develop good behavioral habits.
3. Small punishment for the big commandment
For dogs' faults, some minor punishment measures can be taken, such as letting them think about their mistakes or temporarily fasting, so that they can understand the consequences of offending you. However, fasting should be used with caution as a punishment method, as excessive hunger may damage the dog's already sensitive gastrointestinal health.
Have you ever had any moments of inappropriate strength in your interactions with your dog at home?
Hope these sharings will allow us to understand and respect these loyal partners more and cultivate and educate them in a more scientific and gentle way.
