So if the dog is pregnant, what issues should we pay attention to in nursing?

1. Precautions for different stages of pregnancy

Within one month, the dog's pregnancy is the early stage. Like humans, it is necessary to raise the fetus well and not exercise vigorously. Otherwise, the risk of miscarriage will be higher. Moreover, the diet should not change very suddenly. Just supplement the nutrition of meat, eggs and milk. If you feed too much, the puppy cannot absorb it in the belly, which will cause the female dog to be obese.

About one month to forty-five days are the middle stage of pregnancy. The puppies begin to develop in their belly. You can pay attention to appropriately add some nutrition to the dog. Moreover, because of the pressure on the bladder, the frequency of dog defecation will also increase.

Forty-five to sixty days is the third stage of the female dog's pregnancy. The feeding volume can increase by about 20 to 40%. In addition, during the days before delivery, you should also pay attention to ensuring that the female dog has an appropriate amount of activity, otherwise it will be more difficult during delivery.

2. In terms of exercise,

are relatively lazy for pregnant female dogs, so they don’t like to move when they are full. However, at all stages, they should try to ensure that the dog has moderate exercise. For example, walking after meals is a must-have, which can make the female dog give birth smoother; in addition, do not allow the dog to exercise vigorously, and also prevent the female dog from being hit in the stomach when playing with her similar people when going out. Moreover, pregnant female dogs will have a more irritable personality, so you should prevent female dogs from fighting when going out.

3. In terms of diet, dogs at all stages of pregnancy should be fed natural and high-quality dog food. They should not buy inferior dog food for cheap. High-quality dog food can supplement dogs with sufficient nutrition. When buying dog food, you should choose dog food with relatively high protein and meat content, which is more suitable for female dogs during pregnancy.

4. In terms of washing and care, female dogs during pregnancy should pay special attention to hygiene. If the hygiene is not good and bacteria are growing, the dog is prone to illness, and the effects of medication on the fetus are not good. Therefore, the food bowls, water basins and mats used by female dogs should be cleaned, dried, and disinfected in a timely manner. In summer, you usually take a bath once a week, once every half month in winter, and three times a month in spring and autumn.

5. Regular pregnancy tests

Pregnant female dogs should also undergo pregnancy tests to check whether the fetus develops normally at all stages of the pregnancy, whether the mother lacks any nutrition, and take medicine according to the examination or supplement nutrition for the female dog.

In fact, female dogs need good care during pregnancy, because if a dog accidentally causes miscarriage, some dogs with special physiques even need to remove their uterus to survive, so as parents, you must take responsibility.
