After Stephanie, a foreign woman, moved into a new community, she discovered that a cat across the street had been peeking into her house. She asked the nearby neighbors and found out that the cat had been abandoned in the same place after its owner moved away four years ago. The cat was very wary at first, always waiting for Stephanie to leave before it was willing to come close to eat. Stephanie was also very patient, and it took more than a year for the cat to be willing to come close to Stephanie.
As time passed, the cat began to trust Stephanie more and more, even willing to stay on her porch. She named the cat Buddy and continued to fight for her affection.
