After Stephanie, a foreign woman, moved into a new community, she discovered that a cat across the street had been peeking into her house. She asked the nearby neighbors and found out that the cat had been abandoned in the same place after its owner moved away four years ago. The neighbors would give it some food if they saw how pitiful it was. Stephanie also tried putting cans in front of the door for it, but the cat was very wary at first and would not come near until Stephanie left. However, Stephanie was very patient and was not in a hurry to get closer to it; it took a year before the cat was willing to eat in front of her. Six years later, Stephanie finally succeeded in taking it in and gave it a truly warm home!

After the woman Stephanie moved to a community six years ago, she discovered that a blue cat often peeked across the street.

She curiously asked her neighbors and found out that the blue cat was abandoned by the previous owner. They moved but did not take it away, leaving it to fend for itself where it was. The neighbors looked at it pitifully and occasionally gave it some food. Stephanie also decided to join in the feeding process after learning about its pitiful life experience.

The cat was very wary at first, always waiting for Stephanie to leave before it was willing to come close to eat. Stephanie was also very patient, and it took more than a year for the cat to be willing to come close to Stephanie.

As time passed, the cat began to trust Stephanie more and more, even willing to stay on her porch. She named the cat Buddy and continued to fight for her affection.

In the end, Buddy chose to completely trust the person who had fed him for many years, opened his heart, and began to caress and act coquettishly towards Stephanie.

"Once Buddy took off his mask of armor, he was like a different cat. He was actually very coquettish and had a sweet personality. The first time he let me hold him and purred in my arms, I almost melted!"

Stephanie also took the opportunity to take him to the doctor. Unfortunately, Buddy was tested positive for feline AIDS. But doctors said that with proper care, Buddy could still live a long and healthy life, which gave Stephanie a sigh of relief.

What’s even more gratifying is that last year, Buddy finally decided to become a complete indoor cat and moved into Stephanie’s house!

“I’m actually not sure who helped whom. I have brought a lot of happiness and joy, and I am lucky to be the person it trusts!"

Although Buddy became extremely wary because he had been betrayed by humans, in the end, time proved that Stephanie was a trustworthy person, and Buddy was allowed to accept humans again.

Many people think that fur babies do not have emotions like humans, but in fact, when they are abandoned by their trusted owners, their hearts may be greatly broken! Therefore, please think twice before raising them. You must never abandon them for a lifetime before you are qualified to keep pets!
